Prayer Letter for Germany April 2026

Dear intercessors, The prayer letter this month provides some excellent guidance for our prayers concerning the "War against Iran", and with regard to "The invisable front of radical Islamism" which is not only to be seen in the current war against Iran and as a threat to the continued existance of God's chosen nation of Israel, but also as a spiritual challenge to our Christian faith, witness and practice in the church, the body of Christ, in our Western world - and to the continued spread of the gospel world-wide ! The prayers proposed in the letter for these concerns include the following:

For divine intervention, that the structures of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will collapse. (Jeremiah 49:38)
That the severely afflicted body of Christ in Iran may find its calling and that all the people in Iran may be set free. (1 Peter 2:6-10)
That Europe may humbly rebuild itself based on Christ, who has made it strong. (Jeremiah 3:22)
For an increase in dreams and visions of Jesus, the "Man in White", among Muslims world-wide. (Acts 9:5; John 14:6; John 8:32)
For workers to take part in the harvest in the Muslim world, even in positions of power, and for supernatural protection and wisdom for those already engaged in evangelism and discipleship. (Luke 10:2; Isaiah 52:7)

Please take any opportunity to pray with Muslim back-ground believers in your churches and prayer groups, with believers from the Middle-East - especially from Iran. In a time full of unrest and uncertainty, we invite you to rediscover God's peace together. It is a peace that goes deeper than our circumstances and begins in our hearts. Let us learn to live in this peace and to act from it. Together, we want to create space so that God's presence can transform us and work through us. May God grant us a broader perspective and open our hearts anew as we read the prayer letter this month. Liebe Freunde,

in einer Zeit voller Unruhe und Unsicherheit laden wir euch ein, gemeinsam neu den Frieden Gottes zu entdecken. Es ist ein Frieden, der tiefer geht als unsere Umstände und in unseren Herzen beginnt. Lasst uns lernen, in diesem Frieden zu leben und aus ihm heraus zu handeln. Gemeinsam wollen wir Raum schaffen, damit Gottes Gegenwart uns verändert und durch uns wirkt. Seid herzlich eingeladen, diesen Weg mit uns im Gebet zu gehen.

Möge Gott uns einen weiten Blick schenken und unsere Herzen neu öffnen.

Liebe Geschwister und Freunde, sicherlich habt ihr heute auch schon die Ereignisse im Nahen Osten verfolgt. Gebet verbindet uns mit Gottes Herz und seinen Gedanken und Absichten für die Regionen in den kommenden Tagen. Die Gebetsfeuerwehr im Anhang soll dafür eine Hilfe sein. Prayer Letter for Germany March 2026

Dear intercessors, This month, the final article in the prayer letter is asking intercessors in Germany to pray for young people in Germany and in Europe as follows: "Young people are finding faith again A remarkable spiritual transformation is currently underway in France and England. Almost unnoticed by the general public, increasing numbers of young people – particularly those aged 18 to 25 – are returning to Christian churches. This trend is often referred to as the "quiet revival”. It is called quiet because it is not demonstrative or political, but rather arises from an inner longing." "Prayer:

For young people in Germany and Europe: that their search for meaning, truth, and community finds support in the love of God and that strong roots of faith grow. (Galatians 4:6)
For the churches in Germany and Europe: for wisdom, openness, and spiritual maturity, so that they may really welcome and integrate this generation without overwhelming them. (Malachi 4:5,6)"

Many of the readers of this English version of the prayer letter are living in Germany AND many in other countries in Europe, so it is a special blessing to know that we are praying together for our young people in this way. Liebe Freunde wir möchten euch mit diesem Gebetsbrief neu hineinnehmen in unsere tiefe Liebe zu unserem Land. Es ist doch die Liebe, die allein die Kraft hat, alles zu verändern. Unsere Herzen sind voller Hoffnung, denn die Jahreslosung, dass Jesus „alles neu machen will“, klingt in unserem Herzen. Gottes Liebe macht den entscheidenden Unterschied. Darum wollen wir lernen, mit neuen Augen zu sehen: nicht zuerst analysierend, sondern liebend. Nicht die richtige Einschätzung allein bringt uns weiter, sondern eine größere Tiefe des Herzens und echte Verbundenheit. In diesem Geist laden wir euch ein, mit uns für Deutschland zu beten – getragen von Hoffnung, Barmherzigkeit und Vertrauen. Möge Gott uns einen weiten Blick schenken und unsere Herzen neu öffnen. Dear intercessors, Happy Birthday to The Call of the Watchmen Prayer Network ! On February 1, 2000, our journey together in prayer began – and now, 26 years later, intercessory prayer for politics and society in Germany has not become any easier. When we look at the world, we see upheavals, crises, and much uncertainty. And yet, we believe that our time is "pregnant" with new possibilities. And we may place our trust – more strongly than ever – in our God ! God is a restorer throuh time. To move within his time, to make space for his work – therein lies hope, even in the midst of suffering and change. There we find a peace and a joy that is deeper than the circumstances. So we enter the 27th year of The Call of the Watchmen Prayer Network with gratitude and anticipation. Let us continue to lift up Germany and our world in prayer to our God. Liebe Freunde, Happy Birthday, lieber Wächterruf! Am 1. Februar 2000 begann unser gemeinsamer Weg im Gebet – und nun, 26 Jahre später, ist Fürbitte für Politik und Gesellschaft nicht einfacher geworden. Wenn wir auf die Welt blicken, sehen wir Umbrüche, Krisen und viel Ungewissheit. Und doch glauben wir: Unsere Zeit ist „schwanger“ mit neuen Möglichkeiten. Und wir dürfen unser Vertrauen – stärker denn je – in Gott verankern! Gott ist ein Erneuerer. Sich in seiner Zeit zu bewegen, seinem Wirken Raum zu geben – darin liegt Hoffnung, selbst mitten in Leid und Wandel. Dort finden wir einen Frieden und eine Freude, die tiefer reichen als die Umstände. So gehen wir dankbar und erwartungsvoll in unser 27. Wächterruf-Gebetsjahr. Seid ihr wieder dabei?
