The Call of the Watchmen (“Der Waechterruf” in German) is a national prayer movement that is not linked to any one church. We believe that God longs for his kingdom to come on earth and for his lordship to be evident also in Germany. Therefore he calls intercessors as “spiritual watchmen” who will never stop asking him for grace and mercy for this country. They form a community of intercessors and know that they belong to a wide prayer network. Day and night their prayers are serving to open the way for God’s light and glory to break through the spiritual darkness over Germany (Isaiah 60 v.1-2).

A prayer letter is issued each month in German and English with information on current political and social issues in Germany and specific suggestions for prayer on each topic. The letters may be downloaded from this Website as PDF files and opened with the Adobe Reader program.
